The Marketing Specialist (Associate) will join a start-up organization and start-up culture in managing marketing, customer service, and communications of the Farm 2 Facts (F2F) toolkit. The appointment is for one year. This is a fixed term position at 20 (.5FTE) hours per week. The position pays 34,000 /year along with University of Wisconsin benefits. However, given the rapid growth potential of the product the applicant could find themselves with full-time work, past the first year, and in a supervisory capacity.

Farm 2 Facts is a research-based toolkit that supports farmers market managers and organizations through social, economic, and ecological data collection.  The Marketing Specialist must be willing to work in a start-up workplace culture, comfortable with ambiguous and complex workplace roles, and be able to demonstrate cultural competency to recognize the needs of diverse market managers and organizations and to recognize and switch between formal and informal modes of communication as befitting circumstances. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for onboarding and supporting new clients applying research findings, supporting market partners, deploying the Farm 2 Facts marketing program, regularly updating social media feeds and web pages, and updating marketing materials.

The Marketing Specialist will be required to travel to conferences of markets around the U.S. The position will report to the Program Director and work with coding professionals.
